What do you do when the shape you’ve been counting on collapses?

God sent Jeremiah to a potter’s house and told him to watch. The vessel rose on the wheel—then spoiled, still in the potter’s hands. Instead of throwing the clay away, the potter pressed it back together and began again.

“Like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.”

This Sunday we open Jeremiah 18 and sit with that scene. Collapse is not always abandonment. Remaking is possible—but only if we stay in the hands that hold us.
